Produced and hosted classical, jazz, and other live programs; interviewed musicians including Dizzy Gillespie and Sam Rivers; produced radio show Klavier for WFCC; wrote and produced arts feature piece on painter Jules Olitski (interviewed the artist at his island home in NH); wrote and broadcast news and features at various stations; produced commercials, promos, and conducted live on-air fundraising.

NON-PROFIT EXPERIENCE

Assistant Curator: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.

Served as assistant curator for major retrospective (the first show in the new I. M. Pei wing) of paintings by Larry Poons: helped select paintings from private collections in New York, Toronto, and Boston; interviewed the artist and compiled the chronology for the catalog, Larry Poons  Paintings, 1970-1980; assembled the publications list for the catalog.

Intern: Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art, Hartford, CT; Currier Gallery of Art, Manchester, NH.

      Accessioned works of art; contributed to planning meetings; kept computer database records; trained in handling works of art; assisted in maintaining Frank Lloyd Wright’s Zimmerman House; traveled with a group to see Wright’s Falling Water.

Psychotherapist: Mount Tom Center for Mental Health & Recovery, Holyoke, MA.

Conducted outpatient psychotherapy with adults and youth; marriage therapy; case management; treatment teams and crisis work; played an active role in treatment planning and professional team meetings.

Team Therapist: Windhorse Associates, Inc., Northampton, MA.

Served as team therapist and individual therapist at world-renowned innovative and client-centered mental health community; founded and facilitated Friendship Group to help clients connect with each other and ease re-entry into the community; contributed to team and staff meetings and staff retreats.

Intern and Group Leader: Men’s Resource Center for Change, Amherst, MA.

Led and co-led groups for male batterers (the Moving Forward program), and conducted individual therapy, at one of the original, and most innovative, men’s leadership and violence prevention programs in the country.
