ARTS EXPERIENCE

Assistant Curator: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.

Assistant curator for major retrospective (the first show in the new I. M. Pei wing) of paintings by Larry Poons: helped select paintings from private collections in New York, Toronto, and Boston; interviewed the artist and compiled the chronology for the catalog, Larry Poons  Paintings, 1970-1980; assembled the publications list for the catalog.

Intern: Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art, Hartford, CT; Currier Gallery of Art, Manchester, NH.

      Accessioned works of art; Attended planning meetings; kept computer database records; trained in handling works of art; assisted in maintaining Frank Lloyd Wright’s Zimmerman House; traveled with a group to see Wright’s Falling Water.

Adjunct Professor of Art History: Springfield College, Springfield, MA; Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, MA.

      Taught survey course (pre-history to contemporary art), as well as art appreciation and modern art, showing relationships of “primitive” art to early modern art; counseled students; attended planning meetings.
